About Rock and Row

Marblehead Rowing Club
Marblehead Rowing Club AKA “Rock and Row” was organized in the summer of 2007 with the objective of encouraging recreational and competitive rowing among residents of the North Shore and beyond. The club is community oriented and non-restrictive, allowing unlimited rowing access to qualified rowers. The current storage facilities are located at Marblehead Trading Company on “Cradle Skid Row” off 3 Beacon Street Drive in Marblehead. It’s a beautiful setting that combines the shelter of Brown’s Island for novice rowers and direct access to open water for the more adventurous.

The club currently offers a 3 recreational single Echo's, and a double Alden for use by club members. Limited boat storage is also available for privately owned boats.

Rock and Row's membership is made up of a diverse group of individuals. Our current members range in age from teenage to retiree with all levels of skill. Although the reasons why people have joined Rock and Row vary from individual, we all share a common interest in the immense pleasure of rowing on salt water-sometimes alone and sometimes together- in the exceptionally beautiful ocean that surrounds Marblehead and the North Shore.
